Apple Worldwide Developer’s conference 2019 got a kick start on June 3rd in San Jose, California. This 5 day conference is attended by IOS developers all over the world and is one of the most exciting weeks for Technology enthusiasts. All the new launch, disintegration, and important announcements from Apple take place in this 5 day.
This year, with the launch of IOS 13 for the iPhones, the launch of Apple’s tablets own operating system: iPadOS and the welcoming of MacOS Catalina 10.15 are some of the few new technologies introduced during the keynote. Apple introduced the all new Mac Pro: Its most powerful computer ever. It also announced that Apple Watches will get its own App Store thanks to watchOS 6 and Apple TV is gearing up for Apple Arcade gaming with tvOS 13 as well.
With all the new technologies and operating system launched the death of its eighteen year old music application: iTunes.
Steve Jobs was once quoted “Apple has done what Apple does best — make complex applications easy, and make them even more powerful in the process. iTunes is miles ahead of every other jukebox application, and we hope its dramatically simpler user interface will bring even more people into the digital music revolution.”
The shutdown of iTunes was anticipated due to the rumors going around the app for a long time now, but even then the discontinuation seems like an end of an era. It will be fascinating to watch the progression of Apple from iTunes to the next music revolution.
